The NR Bloc isn't funded by investors or corporate sponsors. It runs on direct support from people who give a shit. Down the line we'll be applying for grants we're entitled to as a community space, and the long-term goal is to be able to employ people properly. That's not money from bosses or backers. For now, it's on us.
The biggest cost. Keeping the physical space open is what everything else depends on. This comes first.
Keeping events free means we cover the costs ourselves. Printing, materials, equipment, whatever's needed.
Sometimes people in our community need practical support. We help where we can, no questions asked.
Photocopying, printing, getting stuff out into the world. Old school but it works.
